Suma Rikyu Park

Located in Suma ward, this botanical garden was created in 1967 and modeled after the park in the Palace of Versailles. There are 230 types of threes, 40 types of irises, 160 types of roses, and camellias. There are also a greenhouse with more botanical plants, a Japanese garden, tea ceremony rooms, fountains, a picnic area and restaurant, a playground, and a children's obstacle course. 

Hours of Operation:

9:00 am-15:00 pm (Last entry is 4:30)

Closed on Thursdays (except for holidays, in which case the next day is closed)

Closed for New Year holidays (December 29-January 3rd) 


Adults (HS & over): 400 円*

Children (ES & JHS): 200 円**

Yearly Passport "Shiki Tricolor Card": Allows unlimited admission for one year to Suma Rikyu Park, Kobe Municipal Arboretum, and Sorakuen Garden. 900 円 for adults, 450 円 for children. 


*Seniors living in Hyogo Prefecture who bring personal identification showing proof of their name, address, and age to the park gain free admission. (Ex: driver's license, health insurance card, My Number card, Sukoyaka Senior Discount card, etc.)

**ES students carrying a Nobinobi Passport gain free admission.
